While reading Understanding Comics, I felt that there were aspects that can relate to the real world, and how the comic relates to my personal interests in art. That was one of the key aspects to understanding the premise, as well as learning what makes comics successful.
One of the parts of the comic that really resonated with me was the description on how we see the world as a part of ourselves. This way we can set emotions for ourselves, and identify with parts of the world that seemed impossible otherwise.
Overall the reading was a fun, and insightful description into the world of comics, and graphic design with commonly relatable aspects to storytelling.
